Engagement II

This class is designed as a continuation of foundational engagement skills towards competition level engagement skills. Our teaching format for this class is best suited for handlers and dogs with competition level goals. We will be continuing the previously learned habits of acclimation, reward activation, and engagement with additional instruction in building constructive training sessions with new skills. Specific skills taught will vary; examples include engagement in stationary heel position, engagement in active heeling, engagement during pace changes, engagement in basic positions, engagement before entering the trial ring, etc.

Please note, crating is required. When you and your dog are not working, you may watch to learn from other dog-handler teams. Space will be available for indoor crating, or you may secure your dog in your vehicle.

Due to high demand, this class has prerequisites and enrollment is limited. If you feel this class would benefit you and your dog, please join the waitlist, and complete the registration questionnaire. The completed questionnaire will be sent to the instructors, and you will be contacted when a seat is available.

If you have any questions, please contact the instructors for this class, Bailey Howe - and Courtney Hofacre -
