Beginner Novice Obedience Skills

                     Beginner Novice Obedience Skills Class

This class is a great follow up to our Intermediate Skills class and the CGC.  It adds slightly increased criteria to things like the sit for exam, the sit stay, loose leash walking, the recall, and adds a figure 8.  It is designed to introduce the dog and handler team to the exercises of the Beginner Novice class in AKC trials. Beginner Novice is an optional titling class.  All exercises are conducted on leash with the exception of the recall. The class sessions will break down the required exercises into their component parts for teaching, practicing, and mastering.  Particular attention will be paid to the work you need to do between your crate and the ring, teaching dogs and handler teams about helpful strategies to use to transition from one exercise to the next, and building your dog's confidence in the face of distractions and the trial environment.  Handler teams could repeat this class until readiness to enter a trial is attained.
