Do you like to preform tricks with your dog? Maybe you're set out to earn an AKC Trick Dog title! GCOC offers Novice through Advanced Tricks Facilitated Classes where students are encouraged to work at their individual levels with instructor feedback. There are five AKC Trick Dog titles you can earn:
AKC Novice Trick Dog (TKN)
Your dog preforms 10 skills from the Novice Checklist. If your dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, it can do 5 Novice skills (CGC +5) to earn the Novice title.
AKC Intermediate Trick Dog (TKI)
Your dog must have the Novice title, plus preform 10 skills from the Intermediate Checklist.
AKC Advanced Trick Dog (TKA)
Your dog must have the Intermediate title, plus preform 10 skills from the Advanced Checklist.
AKC Trick Dog Performer (TKP)
In this title handlers preform a short routine with at least 10 tricks with at least 3 tricks using props. AKC Trick Dog Performer Checklist
AKC Trick Dog Elite Performer (TKE)
In the highest level of Trick Dog, teams perform a routine that has a story/script with at least 5 props used. AKC Elite Performer Checklist
