Shaping Class
Have you ever felt bored or stuck when introducing new behaviors? Incorporating “shaping” is a valuable tool to increase your dog’s engagement and motivation. To quote Denise Fenzi, “ With shaping, you can literally teach your dog to perform any behavior he is physically capable of doing. Shaping will bring you closer to seeing into your dog's thoughts than you ever thought possible.
In this 4 week class we will discuss it’s usefulness, establish criteria and troubleshoot how to accomplish these goals with group input.
Requirements: minimum of basic obedience required.
The mission of GCOC is to teach the handler successful methods of training which will result in a lifelong bond with their dog. Our goal is to provide a safe environment that will encourage this learning process. GCOC does reserve the right to excuse any dog who is disruptive or whose learning threshold has been exceeded.
