AKC Tricks Title Testing Noon - 4:00 pm
From the 1920’s and 1940’s when trick dogs such as Rin Tin Tin and Lassie won peoples’ hearts, trick dog training has become one of the most exciting new areas in dog training today.
AKC Trick Dog titles are official AKC titles listed on the dog’s title record. Dogs must have an AKC, PAL, or AKC Canine Partners number to earn a title. All dogs can get a number including purebreds and mixed breeds. https://www.akc.org/register/ If you have a problem with the link, copy and paste.
There are 5 Titles a dog can receive. In this event the evaluators will test the first three titles. See the links after each title description.
The dog performs 10 skills from the Novice list. If the dog has a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificate or title on record at AKC, it can do 5 Novice tricks to earn the Novice title.
The dog must have the Novice title before it can earn an intermediate tricks title.
The dog must have the Intermediate title before it can earn an advanced title.
You may register for two Levels by clicking on both levels in the "What level(s) will you be testing?" section of the registration form. Cost $10.00 per run.
