Donation to K9 Unit - February 7, 2002

The Greater Columbia Obedience Club (GCOC) donated funds to the Richland County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit on February 7, 2002.

Sheriff Leon Lott accepted the donation from GCOC member Lynn McClure. Also present were Jon Fins, the Sheriff's Office Foundation Board Member, Canine Unit trainer Sgt. Lewis Marshall, Deputy Kathy Jarvis and K-9 Rommel, and Deputy Michael Grazioso and K-9 Falco. This donation will be used for the canine training program.

Additionally, GCOC's German Shepherd team donated a bulletproof vest to the Unit.

After Sheriff Lott thanked GCOC and the German Shepherd team for their donations, Deputy Jarvis and Deputy Grazioso gave a demonstration of their dogs' abilities. Sgt. Marshall answered questions after the demonstration.
