This workshop is for GCOC members who wish to go beyond the basics of learning ring exercises. One focus of the workshop will be on building attention and drive. Another focus will be on handling, particularly the handler's body language and the effect that has on their dog. Improve your teamwork and communication by working on these underlying skills.

Cost: $80.00

Presenter:  Chris Jafarkhani

Credentials:  Chris has been involved with dog training since 1990, beginning with GSDs and Belgian Malinois in the sport of Shutzhund. This led to a keen interest in competition obedience. Vinnie, her first Italian Greyhound, earned obedience titles in UKC, ASFA and AKC. Vinnie went on to become the 19th Italian Greyhound in AKC history to achieve the Utility Dog title, earning this in three consecutive trials with three 1st placements. Vinnie also earned multiple high in trials. Eli (Italian Greyhound) achieved his CDX title in AKC before he was lost to cancer at the age of 6 years. Eli earned many high scores while trialing in both UKC and AKC. She is currently training Yuri, a 1 year old Italian Greyhound. In addition to obedience, Chris' Italian Greyhounds have earned titles in rally, lure coursing, racing, and weight pulling.
