| About GCOC The Greater
Columbia Obedience Club is open to all dog enthusiast interested in
learning more or helping others learn more about basic dog obedience,
competitive obedience, rally obedience, agility or those people that
just want to socialize and learn from other dog lovers in the community.
The club holds various trails,
walk throughs,
classes and seminars
through out the year to help raise money for the club as well as to help
educate the community and while showing off the talents of dogs in the
region.
GCOC also has their own indoor meeting and training facility located
at
847 South Stadium Rd, #5 near
Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina. This is where
the club hold regular
obedience classes open to both the members of the
club and the public at large. One of the benefits of membership is
club members receive a discount on all classes offered. The
facility has a all the necessary equipment for training your dog in
obedience & rally and is available for use by all members paying a small
yearly facility usage fee.
In addition to the clubs building near
the stadium the GCOC also rents and agility training facility that has
all the necessary equipment to train. It is completely fenced and
like our other place is open to all members paying the their small
annual facility usage fee.
As you can see the GCOC is committed to
the development of their facilities to both better serve the clubs needs
as well as those of the community.
